Fragment of a letter by Jan Mikołaj Cieszkowski to August Czartoryski
Jan M. Cieszkowski, the commissioner of Ruthenian land,s claims that he learned that the land elders should pay 5000 złp to the Voivode of Ruthenia. He suggests that the Voivode should order the election of four Jews from L’viv as land elders, and those would make sure at the regional assembly that the voivode’s salary is restored.
